Introducing… Molly Wren

Molly has been with Wonder Voyage for six years and coordinates most of our trips, those thousands of details that must work together to pull a voyage off correctly.

Molly graduated with a dual degree in History and Sociology from Rice University in 1984.   She has been a youth minister in the Episcopal Church, and she continues to be actively involved in the Dallas diocese. Molly joined the staff of Wonder Voyage as a Voyage Director in 2003. She has dedicated her life to bringing the gospel alive, and pilgrimages are one of the best ways she utilizes that gift.  Molly has been married for over 20 years and plans to be married forever and ever.

We asked Molly for her thoughts and suggestions for this summer:

“My favorite part of leading a Wonder Voyage is when I see people have those moments of wonder – whether it’s while at worship, while exploring, or while serving – when I can just tell their lives will never be the same as a result of that moment.

My favorite location? – it’s a tie – Honduras for the amazing love and hospitality of the people there and the unique culture – and the Grand Tetons for the sheer beauty and splendor of the region and the myriad outdoor exploration opportunities.

I do have one piece of advice for the teams.  Leave as much behind as you can and pare things down to what’s most important – travel light not just with your luggage, but with your agendas, preconceived expectations, fears, and prejudices, and revel in the freedom of traveling like a real pilgrim who knows not what to expect around the next bend.”
