Last night we gathered on the great porch under the stars. As we worshipped in song we took in the refreshing wind that has visited us everyday we have been in Mexico. Although it is hot the wind reminds us of the reprieve that graces us from the heat. It has been a good day and much has been accomplished. But it is the quiet times like this that you take a true perspective of life. Being here, in this place at this time is the best blessing of all. Hanging out with friends, laughing, singing and enjoying this adventure is the moments of wonder we will caryyin in our hearts as long as we choose to remember.
How appropriate that we close our time tonight with a celebration at the Lord's table. We contemplate Christ and his sacrifice; we think upon the universal body called the church; we join with our new Mexican brothers and sisters in that act that declares ere eternity and beyond we are one in Him. Tonight we give thanks.
